Don't eat recalled Stampede Meat beef steaks

Stampede Meat, Inc. recalled about 484,800 pounds of frozen beef top sirloin steaks sold to restaurants nationwide. A seasoning ingredient used in the product tested positive for Salmonella bacteria. The steaks were produced between February 19 and March 14, 2018, and may still be in home freezers.

  • Check your freezer for USDA SELECT boneless beef top sirloin steaks with item #5404 or #5419 and lot codes 05018–07318 (best-by dates Feb 19–Mar 14, 2019).
  • Look for establishment number EST. 19113 on the USDA inspection seal.
  • Do not eat these steaks. Throw them away or return them to the store.
