Do not eat McAllen Cold Storage basa fillets
McAllen Cold Storage imported approximately 51,942 pounds of frozen basa fillets from Vietnam without proper U.S. import inspection. The products were distributed to wholesale and retail locations in Texas between August 2018 and February 2019. No illnesses have been reported, but the products may still be in home freezers or at retail locations.
- Do not eat these frozen basa fillets if you have them
- Check your freezer for basa fillets with case code BWI 134833 or BWI 134858
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it
- Call your doctor if you have eaten this product and feel sick
