Don't eat Boar's Head deli meat or poultry
Boar's Head Provisions Co. is recalling approximately 7 million pounds of ready-to-eat deli meats and poultry products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The contamination was discovered when a sample tested positive and matched a strain linked to a multistate outbreak that has sickened 34 people across 13 states, resulting in 33 hospitalizations and 2 deaths.
- Do not eat Boar's Head or Old Country brand deli meats and poultry products with sell-by dates from July 29, 2024 to October 17, 2024
- Throw away the products or return them to the store
- Clean and disinfect your refrigerator thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination
- Seek medical attention if you develop flu-like symptoms within 2 months of eating these products, especially if you are pregnant, over 65, or immunocompromised
