Great Lakes Smoked Meats recalled approximately 2,863 pounds of Smokehouse Deli Karpatskaya smoked salami produced December 12–14, 2014, because the product may have reached unsafe temperatures during cooling. This could allow harmful bacteria called Clostridium perfringens to grow, which can cause severe stomach cramps and diarrhea.
- Check your home for Smokehouse Deli Karpatskaya salami with a "Sell By" date between March 16 and March 19, 2015.
- Look for establishment number 1029 SEOH on the package.
- Do not eat the product. Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it.
- If you have eaten this salami and develop stomach cramps or diarrhea within 8–22 hours, contact your doctor.
