Sunrise Poultry chicken products recalled for lack of U.S. import inspection

Do not eat Sunrise Poultry chicken products

Sunrise Poultry Processors in Canada shipped approximately 2,705 pounds of chicken products (thighs, breasts, and whole fryers) to Washington without undergoing required U.S. food safety inspection at the port of entry. Without this inspection, the products cannot be confirmed safe. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat any Sunrise Poultry chicken products produced on February 2, 2015, with establishment number 'Canada 591'
  • Return unopened packages to where you purchased them
  • Throw away opened packages
  • Call your doctor if you have eaten this chicken and feel sick
