Tyson Foods frozen chicken strips recalled for potential metal contamination

Don't eat Tyson chicken strips; throw them out

Tyson Foods recalled approximately 11.8 million pounds of frozen ready-to-eat chicken strips because they may contain metal pieces. The company discovered the problem after receiving consumer complaints, including reports of oral injuries. The affected products were produced between October 1, 2018, and March 8, 2019, and have use-by dates from October 1, 2019, through March 7, 2020.

  • Do not eat these chicken strips
  • Look for establishment number "P-7221" on the back of the package
  • Throw out the product or return it to where you bought it
  • If you or anyone else was injured by metal in the product, contact a healthcare provider
  • Call Tyson Customer Service at 1-866-886-8456 with questions
