Mex-Tamales Foods beef and pork tamales recalled for undeclared sesame allergen

Mex-Tamales Foods tamales (both beef and pork, 6 oz and 8 oz sizes) contain sesame seeds in the sauce, but sesame is not listed on the label. These products were made between September 20 and October 14, 2021, and sold in Northern California. Sesame is a common food allergen that can cause serious reactions in people with allergies.

  • Stop eating these tamales if you have them at home
  • Check your freezer and refrigerator for products marked 'EST. 4543' and 'MEX-TAMALES FOODS'
  • Throw away the tamales or return them to the store where you bought them
  • If you or someone in your household has a sesame allergy and ate these tamales, call your doctor
