Throw out Citterio salame sticks
Citterio Premium Italian-Style Salame Sticks may be contaminated with Salmonella. The USDA and health authorities found Salmonella in product samples and linked the salame to 31 illnesses across 10 states. The affected products were made before October 25, 2021, and have "best by" dates through January 23, 2022.
- Check your pantry or refrigerator for Citterio Premium Italian-Style Salame Sticks with "EST. 4010" on the USDA mark
- Do not eat the product
- Throw away affected packages or return them to the store
- Contact your doctor if you have diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or fever after eating this product
