L & L Foods uncured bacon bits recalled for undeclared soy allergen

Do not eat L & L Foods bacon bits

L & L Foods recalled approximately 30,665 pounds of uncured bacon bits produced between January 15 and March 10, 2015 because the products contain soy lecithin that was not listed on the label. Soy is a known allergen. The product was distributed to food manufacturers in North Carolina and Ohio for use in salad kits. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer and kitchen for L & L Foods Uncured Bacon Bits in 0.5-ounce packages with establishment number Est.45361.
  • Do not eat the product if you have a soy allergy.
  • Throw away the bacon bits or return them to where you purchased them.
