Check freezer for recalled Foster Farms chicken

Foster Farms boneless chicken breasts produced March 7–13, 2014, may be contaminated with Salmonella Heidelberg. The products were sold fresh or frozen under Foster Farms and private labels at Costco, Kroger, Safeway, and other retailers across 11 western states. While most products are no longer in stores, some may remain in home freezers.

  • Check your freezer for Foster Farms or Sunland Chicken products with establishment numbers P6137, P6137A, or P7632
  • Discard any affected products or return them to the store where purchased
  • If you consumed the product and develop diarrhea, abdominal pain, or fever within 3 days, contact your doctor
  • Always cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165 °F
