American Foods Group ground beef recalled for E. coli O103 contamination

Do not use American Foods Group ground beef

American Foods Group, doing business as Green Bay Dressed Beef, is recalling approximately 58,281 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O103, a bacteria that produces Shiga toxin. The affected products were produced on August 14, 2023, and distributed to Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Check if you have ground beef with lot codes D123226026 or D123226027 and establishment number EST. 18076
  • Do not use these products—throw them away or return them to where you bought them
  • Cook all ground beef to 160°F (use a food thermometer) to kill harmful bacteria
  • If you or your family develop diarrhea, vomiting, or bloody stools within 2–8 days, contact your doctor
