Yoakum Packing Co. venison sausage recalled for undeclared pork content

Throw out Yoakum venison sausage if you have it

Yoakum Packing Co. recalled approximately 12,388 pounds of smoked venison sausage that contains pork and beef but does not list these ingredients on the label. The affected products were produced between May 3, 2017 and March 22, 2019 and distributed in Texas. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat the product if you have a pork or beef allergy or follow a diet that excludes these meats
  • Check your freezer for 2.5 lb bags labeled 'VENISON Smoked Sausage – FULLY COOKED' with establishment number EST. 2216 and box codes 35710 or 35712
  • Throw away the sausage or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Call Yoakum Packing Co. at (361) 293-3541 with questions
