Throw out Margherita pepperoni products
Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp., doing business as Margherita Meats, recalled about 10,990 pounds of unsliced pepperoni products produced on June 17, 2021, due to possible contamination with Bacillus cereus, a bacterium that can cause diarrhea and vomiting. The affected products are 8-oz. packages with lot code P1931C and a use-by date of 12-14-21. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat these pepperoni products if you have them.
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it.
- Check your pantry and refrigerator for 8-oz. Margherita pepperoni packages with lot code P1931C.
- Call the Margherita Consumer Affairs Hotline at (844) 342-2596 if you have questions.
