NY Livestock Market Inc. in Brooklyn recalled about 1,495 pounds of whole young chickens produced on April 10, 2017, because they may contain nitrofurazone, an antibiotic not approved for use in poultry. Routine testing by USDA inspectors found the contamination. No illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat these products if you purchased them.
- Throw away the chicken or return it to where you bought it.
- Look for brown shipping bags labeled 'NY LIVESTOCK MARKET, INC. BUDDHIST RELIGIOUS EXEMPT' with establishment number P-45068 on the USDA inspection seal.
- Call your doctor if you have concerns about your health after eating this product.
