Grant Park Packing ground beef recalled for potential E. coli O103 contamination
Do not use Grant Park Packing ground beef
Grant Park Packing recalled approximately 53,200 pounds of bulk ground beef produced in late October and early November 2018 because it may be contaminated with E. coli O103. The affected products were labeled as North Star Imports & Sales ground beef for institutional use only and were distributed to Minnesota and Kentucky.
- Do not eat any ground beef with lot code GP.1051.18 and packing dates of 10/30/2018, 10/31/2018, or 11/01/2018 labeled for institutional use.
- If you have this product, throw it away or return it to where it was purchased.
- Cook all ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F using a food thermometer to kill harmful bacteria.
- Seek immediate medical attention if you experience bloody diarrhea, vomiting, or decreased urination within 2–8 days after consuming potentially affected product.
