G & M Co. beef products recalled for possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination
Throw out G & M Co. beef products
G & M Co. in Newark, New Jersey recalled approximately 3,586 pounds of bulk beef cuts and trimmings produced June 8–10, 2016 because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The contamination was discovered after testing on June 14, 2016. Products were shipped to retail locations in New Jersey and New York.
- Do not eat these beef products. Throw them away or return them to the store.
- Check your freezer—contaminated products may still be frozen.
- Look for products marked with plant identifier M5476 inside the USDA mark of inspection.
- If you ate this beef and develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or bruising, seek emergency medical care immediately.
