Check Oberto's chicken strips for swollen packages

Oberto's Brand recalled approximately 57,578 pounds of Smokey Sweet BBQ Style and Spicy Buffalo Style Chicken Strips due to a processing issue that caused excess water in some packages, resulting in swollen bags. The company determined this was a quality control problem with no food safety risk, and no illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for Oberto's chicken strips in 2.75, 3, 5.75, 9, or 16 oz bags produced between May 14 and August 6, 2014
  • Look for establishment number "P4837" on the USDA inspection seal
  • Do not use products with visibly swollen or inflated packages
  • Return affected products to the store where you bought them or discard them
