Green Field Farms ground beef recalled for E. coli O103 contamination

Do not eat Green Field Farms ground beef

Texas Natural Meats recalled approximately 489 pounds of frozen ground beef sold under the Green Field Farms label after testing confirmed contamination with E. coli O103 (STEC). The affected product was produced on August 8, 2017, and sold at a farmer's market in Rogers, Texas. The contamination was discovered during routine USDA inspection in June 2018.

  • Do not cook or eat Green Field Farms ground beef with production date 08.08.2017 and expiration date 08.08.2020.
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Wash your hands, utensils, and surfaces that touched the meat.
  • Seek medical attention immediately if you or a family member develops diarrhea (especially bloody), vomiting, or signs of severe illness within 2–8 days of consuming this product.
