Correctional Industries frozen meat and poultry products recalled for contaminated water
Do not eat Correctional Industries frozen meals
Correctional Industries Airway Heights Food Operations recalled approximately 319,000 pounds of frozen meat and poultry products made between April 1 and May 15, 2017. The products were made using water that contained unsafe levels of chemicals. The recall includes multiple frozen meal varieties distributed to facilities in Washington and Arizona.
- Do not eat frozen meat or poultry products from Correctional Industries with manufacturing dates between April 1, 2017 and May 15, 2017
- Check your freezer for recalled products (check the product label for the manufacturing date)
- Throw away any recalled products or return them to where they were obtained
- Contact your facility or food service provider if you have questions about specific products
