Land O'Frost Premium Black Forest Ham recalled for misbranding as turkey

Check Land O'Frost Black Forest Ham packaging

Land O'Frost recalled about 4,944 pounds of Premium Black Forest Ham produced on April 27, 2018, because the back of the package incorrectly labeled the product as Honey Smoked Turkey Breast instead of ham. The front label was correct. No illnesses have been reported. The affected ham was sold in Arizona, California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

  • Look for Land O'Frost PREMIUM Old World Style Black Forest Ham with lot code 8117D and "sell by" date of August 10, 2018
  • Check the back label—it should say "Black Forest Ham," not "Turkey Breast"
  • Do not eat the product if the back label says turkey
  • Return it to where you bought it or call Land O'Frost at (800) 762-9865
