Simmons Prepared Foods chicken fritters recalled for E. coli O121 contamination
Throw out Simmons chicken fritters
Simmons Prepared Foods recalled approximately 5,850 pounds of frozen, uncooked chicken tenderloin and breast tenderloin fritters produced on January 25, 2016, due to possible E. coli O121 contamination from recalled flour. The contaminated products were distributed to Arkansas for institutional use. No illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat these products if you have them in your freezer.
- Throw away the chicken fritters or return them to where you purchased them.
- Look for case codes 31473 or 62331 and establishment number P-5837 on the package.
- Call Simmons customer service at (479) 215-2296 with questions about the recall.
