Corn Maiden Foods tamales and taquitos recalled for undeclared soy allergen

Don't eat Corn Maiden Foods tamales or taquitos

Corn Maiden Foods recalled about 15,600 pounds of pork tamales, Yucatán-style pork, and beef taquitos because they contain hydrolyzed soy protein that was not listed on the label. The products were distributed to restaurants, hotels, and institutions in California between April 2014 and April 2015. No illnesses have been reported.

  • If you work at a restaurant, hotel, or institution that received these products, do not serve them.
  • Check packaging for "EST. 20949" inside the USDA inspection seal.
  • Look for: "Tamales with Pork Santa Fe Green Chile," "Border Grill Pork Yucatán," or "Border Grill Beef Brisket Taquitos."
  • Throw away any recalled products or return them to your supplier.
  • If you have a soy allergy and consumed these products, contact your doctor or call 1-888-674-6854.
