Creation Gardens Inc. ground beef and beef products recalled for E. coli O157:H7
Do not eat Creation Gardens beef products
Creation Gardens Inc. recalled approximately 22,832 pounds of raw ground beef and beef patties produced May 31–June 2, 2017, because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacterium. The contamination was discovered when the company tested positive for the pathogen. These products were distributed to food service locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.
- Do not eat any recalled Creation Gardens beef products (check product codes on the USDA website).
- Throw away the products or return them to where you bought them.
- Cook all ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F using a food thermometer.
- Seek emergency medical care if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe cramps, or decreased urine output.
