Aldon Food Corp. chicken salad recalled for undeclared milk allergen
Don't eat Aldon chicken salad; contains undeclared milk
Aldon Food Corporation recalled approximately 18,570 pounds of chicken salad products because they contain milk, which was not listed on the label. The milk was introduced through bread crumbs used in the salad. No illnesses have been reported, but the product is unsafe for people with milk allergies.
- Do not eat chicken salad with brand names Block & Barrel Imperial, Market Source, Don's Salads, or Hymie's if purchased between January and May 2017
- Check the "use-by" date on packages; affected products expire between May 22 and June 27, 2017
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it
- Contact your doctor if you or a family member ate this product and have an allergic reaction
