HEB Ground Beef recalled for blue plastic contamination

Sam Kane Beef Processors recalled approximately 2,633 pounds of HEB Ground Beef 73% (produced September 11, 2014) because small pieces of blue plastic were found in packages. The plastic likely came from a rubber glove. The affected product was distributed to commercial facilities in Texas. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check for HEB Ground Beef with establishment number EST 337 and production date of September 11, 2014.
  • Do not cook or consume this product.
  • Discard it or return it to where you bought it.
  • Contact your doctor if you or a family member ate this product and feel sick.
