House of Smoke wild boar bratwurst recalled for excessive nitrite levels
Do not eat House of Smoke wild boar bratwurst
House of Smoke, Inc. recalled approximately 4,692 pounds of wild boar bratwurst sausage products because they contain nitrite levels above the federal safety limit. The sausages were produced between April 27, 2015 and July 12, 2016. No illnesses have been reported.
- Do not eat these products if you purchased them.
- Check your freezer for lot numbers: 517240, 515160, 517160, 518070, 514080, 511380, 518090, 517001, 513211, 512221, 614110, 616210, 614050, 618150, 616060, 613160, 617070, or 612170.
- Look for establishment number EST. 6273 on the USDA inspection seal.
- Throw away affected products or return them to the store where you bought them.
- Contact your doctor if you have any health concerns.
