Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp. (operating as Stefano Foods) recalled approximately 24,048 pounds of frozen pepperoni and five cheese calzones produced on May 23, 2018, due to contamination with hard, sharp, transparent plastic pieces. One consumer reported a small mouth injury from the plastic.
- Do not eat these calzones if you have them at home or in your freezer.
- Check for lot code "14318B" and "consume by" date of 1/18/2019 on the packaging.
- Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
