Michigan Brand, Inc. recalled approximately 737 pounds of smoked turkey and beef products because the labels are missing the word "nitrite" when describing sodium nitrite content. The products were produced between February 9 and April 16, 2015, and shipped to stores in Michigan. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check packages of Michigan Brand Honey Glazed Smoked Turkey (8 or 16 oz.) and The Jerky Outlet Jalapeno Flavored Smoked Beef (8 oz.)
  • Look for establishment number EST. 10306 or P-10306 inside the USDA mark on the package
  • Do not consume the product if you have a sodium nitrite allergy or sensitivity
