Galant Food Company beef piroshki recalled for inadequate cooking

Discard Galant and Paramount brand beef piroshki

Galant Food Company recalled about 410 pounds of beef piroshki products because the meat filling did not reach the required safe cooking temperature during processing. The affected products were made between September 22–24, 2014, and sold in the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat Galina's Original Beef and Cheese Piroshki (4.5 oz) or Paramount Beef Piroshki (5 oz) with code dates 092214, 092314, or 092414.
  • Check packaging for establishment number EST. 9014.
  • Throw away or return recalled products to the store.
  • Contact your doctor if you have symptoms of foodborne illness (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps).
