Cargill Meat Solutions ground beef recalled for E. coli O157:H7 contamination
Do not eat Cargill ground beef; throw it away
Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling approximately 25,288 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The affected products are 10-pound packages of Excel 93/7 fine ground beef produced on August 16, 2018, with "Use/Freeze by September 5" on the label and establishment number EST. 86R. No illnesses have been confirmed so far.
- Check your freezer for Excel 93/7 ground beef with a pack date of 8/16/2018 and EST. 86R on the label.
- Do not eat these products. Throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them.
- Wash your hands and any surfaces that touched the product.
- Call Cargill at 1-844-419-1574 if you have questions about whether your product is affected.
