Throw out Hill Country Fare ground beef

Sam Kane Beef Processors recalled approximately 60,350 pounds of Hill Country Fare ground beef produced on July 26, 2016, because it may contain small pieces of metal. The problem was discovered after a customer complained of finding metal in their package. No injuries have been reported.

  • Do not eat Hill Country Fare ground beef with a Packed On date of 7/26/2016 and Use-By date of 8/15/2016
  • Throw away the product or return it to your HEB store
  • Check your freezer if you shop at HEB in Texas
