Smoked catfish recalled for lack of U.S. import inspection

Do not eat recalled smoked catfish

Approximately 45 pounds of smoked catfish imported from Nigeria was distributed in Texas without passing U.S. food safety inspection at the port of entry. The product came in 1-pound plastic packages labeled with manufacturing date August 2018 and best-by date February 2019. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat this product if you purchased it
  • Throw away the smoked catfish or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Contact your doctor if you have symptoms of foodborne illness
