Paradise Valley Market ground beef recalled for possible E. coli O157:H7 contamination

Paradise Valley Market in Chula Vista, California sold approximately 35 pounds of ground beef on September 1, 2016, that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. Testing found the bacteria in samples from the store. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Do not eat this ground beef if you bought it from Paradise Valley Market on September 1, 2016.
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Check your freezer—some packages may still be frozen.
  • Seek emergency medical care immediately if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, or decreased urination.
