Throw out Ranchers Legacy ground beef products

Ranchers Legacy Meat Co. recalled approximately 1,200 pounds of ground beef products produced on November 19, 2014, because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The contamination was discovered during a routine USDA inspection. Products were distributed nationally and may still be in home freezers.

  • Do not eat any Ranchers Legacy or OTG Manufacturing ground beef products with a "use by" date of 12/10/2014 and establishment number "Est. 40264"
  • Throw away affected products or return them to the store
  • If you have eaten these products and develop symptoms (diarrhea, bloody stools, severe stomach cramps) within 2–8 days, seek medical attention immediately
  • Cook all ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F, measured with a food thermometer
