Zweigle's olive loaf pork products recalled for excess sodium nitrite

Throw out Zweigle's olive loaf pork products

Zweigle's Inc. recalled approximately 6,082 pounds of olive loaf pork products because they contain too much sodium nitrite, a food preservative. The affected products were made between June 29 and August 27, 2018, with use-by dates in August and September 2018. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat Zweigle's olive loaf if you have it at home.
  • Check your refrigerator or freezer for 9-pound boxes with use-by dates of 8/22/18, 9/12/18, 9/19/18, 10/4/18, or 10/17/18.
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
  • Call Zweigle's at 585-546-1740, ext. 36, if you have questions.
