Do not eat JBS Tolleson raw beef products
JBS Tolleson, Inc. recalled raw and non-intact beef products, including ground beef, produced between July 26 and September 7, 2018, due to potential Salmonella Newport contamination. The USDA is concerned some product may be frozen in home freezers. A Salmonella outbreak linked to these products resulted in 246 confirmed illnesses across 25 states.
- Do not eat recalled beef products marked with establishment number 'EST. 267'
- Throw away or return to the store any affected products you have
- Always cook raw beef to a safe internal temperature (use a food thermometer)
- Wash your hands after handling raw meat to prevent cross-contamination
