WEIS frozen pizzas recalled for lack of import inspection
Do not eat WEIS frozen pizzas from Canada
RFG Canada Inc. is recalling approximately 1,250 pounds of frozen pizzas (WEIS brand Self-Rising Chicken Bacon Ranch and Thin Crust Pepperoni) that were imported from Canada without required U.S. food safety inspection. These products bypassed mandatory inspection and may pose a health risk. The pizzas were distributed to stores in Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania in September 2016.
- Check your freezer for WEIS Self-Rising Pizza (Chicken Bacon Ranch, 30.3 oz) or WEIS Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza (20.2 oz) with "Canada Establishment 411" on the label
- Do not eat these products
- Throw away the pizzas or return them to the store where you bought them
