Discard Larry's Custom Meats beef tongue

Larry's Custom Meats Inc. recalled approximately 529 pounds of beef tongue products produced between October 2014 and June 2015 because lingual tonsils (lymphatic tissue at the base of the tongue) were not removed as required. These tissues are considered specified risk materials that could potentially carry BSE (mad cow disease). No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check if you purchased 1½-lb. packages of Larry's Custom Meats Beef Tongue with establishment number EST. 40359 on the USDA inspection mark
  • Do not eat the product if you have it
  • Discard it or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Call your doctor if you have any health concerns
