Morrison Aussie Travelers' Pies recalled for undeclared MSG in steak and mushroom filling
Don't eat Morrison Aussie Travelers' Pies
Corn Maiden Foods is recalling Morrison Aussie Travelers' Pies (steak and mushroom flavor) because the packages don't list monosodium glutamate (MSG) as an ingredient, even though it's in the product. This matters if you need to avoid MSG for health reasons. The affected pies were made between February and March 2017 and sold in California.
- Check your freezer for 12-oz boxes of Morrison Aussie Travelers' Pies with sell-by dates of February 3, 15, 16, or March 29, 2018
- Look for lot codes 170203, 170215, 170216, or 170329 on the box
- Do not eat the product if you have MSG sensitivity
- Throw away the pies or return them to the store where you bought them
