J & B Sausage beef and chicken products recalled for undeclared peanut allergen
Don't eat J & B Sausage beef and chicken products
J & B Sausage Co. in Texas recalled about 45,904 pounds of prepared beef and chicken products because they may contain peanuts that are not listed on the label. The affected products were made between August 25 and December 15, 2014. If you have a peanut allergy, these products could cause a serious reaction.
- Check your freezer for HEB-brand fully cooked beef chili, picadillo, carne guisada, or Chefs-In-A-Bag chicken taco filling made by J & B Sausage (look for "EST. 7066" on the package).
- Do not eat these products if you or anyone in your household has a peanut allergy.
- Throw away the product or return it to the store.
- If you have eaten this product and have symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your doctor or poison control right away.
