Don't eat Maestri Italian Salumi prosciutto or speck
Fresca Italia Inc recalled approximately 36 pounds of Italian pork products (prosciutto and speck) that were not officially inspected when entering the United States. Without this inspection, the food safety status cannot be verified. The products were produced in April 2015 and distributed in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Check your home for 3-oz. trays of Maestri Authentic Italian Salumi prosciutto italiano, Prosciutto di San Daniele, or speck
- Look for establishment number CEIT 649L inside the Italian inspection mark on the package
- Do not eat these products; throw them away or return them to the store
- Contact the store where you bought the product if you have questions
