Do not eat Shirk's Meats beef and pork products
Shirk's Meats in Dundee, New York recalled approximately 2,478 pounds of beef and pork products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacterium. The affected products were produced between April 1 and May 12, 2015, and include ham, hotdogs, sausage, snack sticks, and other meat items with various sell-by dates in 2015 and 2016.
- Check your freezer and refrigerator for any Shirk's Meats beef or pork products with sell-by dates from April 2015 to May 2016.
- Do not eat these products. Throw them away or return them to the store.
- Call your doctor if you have eaten these products and have symptoms like fever, muscle aches, or diarrhea.
