National Meat and Provisions beef and veal products recalled for possible E. coli O26 contamination
Do not eat recalled National Meat beef
National Meat and Provisions in Louisiana recalled approximately 2,349 pounds of ground beef and veal products produced September 14–15, 2016, because they may be contaminated with E. coli O26. The contamination was discovered during routine testing. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check your freezer for affected products with lot numbers 00028581–00028597 and establishment number EST. M-22022 on the USDA inspection seal
- Do not eat these products; throw them away or return them to the store
- Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces that may have touched the meat
- Contact your doctor if you develop diarrhea, vomiting, or bloody stools within 2–8 days
