Bassett & Walker beef lips recalled for missing U.S. import inspection

Do not use Bassett & Walker beef lips

Bassett & Walker International recalled approximately 1,540 pounds of beef lips imported from Australia that were never inspected at the U.S. border. The products were distributed to restaurants and food service businesses in the San Diego area between March and April 2015. Without proper inspection, there is a potential health risk.

  • If you have these products, do not use them.
  • Contact your food supplier or Bassett & Walker at (416) 363-7070 ext. 265 if you have questions.
  • Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 if you are concerned about your health.
