Discard Aspen Foods frozen breaded chicken

Aspen Foods (Koch Poultry Company) recalled approximately 1.98 million pounds of frozen, raw, stuffed and breaded chicken products produced April–July 2015 due to possible Salmonella Enteritidis contamination. The contamination was linked to three confirmed illnesses in Minnesota. The products may still be in home freezers and look cooked but are actually raw.

  • Check your freezer for recalled products with USDA establishment number P-1358 and best-if-used-by dates July 14, 2016–October 10, 2016
  • Do not eat these products; discard them or return to the store
  • If you must handle them, treat as raw chicken: wash hands and surfaces, use separate cutting boards, cook to 165°F minimum
