Check your Trader Joe's salads for undeclared nitrites
Huxtable's Kitchen recalled approximately 778 pounds of Trader Joe's Cobb Salad and Uncored Bacon & Spinach Salad products produced on July 14 and 16, 2015, because the bacon contains nitrites that were not listed on the label. The affected products were sold in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington with sell-by dates of July 20–22, 2015. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check your refrigerator for the affected Trader Joe's salad products with establishment number P-11079A or EST. 11079
- Do not eat these products if you have a known nitrite sensitivity or allergy
- Discard the salads or return them to the store
- Contact your doctor if you experience an allergic reaction
