Bakkavor Foods ready-to-eat meat and poultry products recalled for Salmonella and Listeria in onions
Discard Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's ready-to-eat meat products
Bakkavor Foods USA recalled approximately 795,000 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products sold under Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's brand names because an onion ingredient used in production was contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. Affected products were made between September 27, 2017 and October 15, 2018. No illnesses have been confirmed to date.
- Check your freezer for Harris Teeter Fresh Foods Market Deli-Bakery or Trader Joe's burritos and BBQ chicken pizza with expiration dates between January 24, 2018 and November 4, 2019
- Look for USDA establishment numbers EST. 19198, P-19198, EST. 46937, or EST. 45335 on the package
- Do not eat these products; throw them away or return to the store
- Call your doctor if you develop diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps, or muscle aches
