Majestic Meat Company in Salt Lake City recalled approximately 532 pounds of ground beef products produced on November 8, 2018, because they may contain E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacteria. The affected products—bulk ground beef, ground hamburger, and meatballs—were distributed to restaurants in Utah. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat ground beef from Majestic Meat Company with establishment number EST. 19915 produced on November 8, 2018
- If you have this product, throw it away or return it to the restaurant where you purchased it
- Cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 165°F using a food thermometer to kill harmful bacteria
- Seek medical attention immediately if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or reduced urination
