Stater Bros. ground beef recalled for potential Salmonella Dublin contamination
Discard Stater Bros. ground beef from July 2019
Central Valley Meat Co. recalled approximately 34,222 pounds of Stater Bros. ground beef produced on July 23, 2019, because it may be contaminated with Salmonella Dublin. The recalled products include 1-lb and 2-lb packages and 20-lb boxes sold in California. Federal health investigators linked these products to 10 confirmed illnesses across 6 states.
- Do not eat Stater Bros. ground beef with lot code 2049 or 19204 and "use by" date of 08-14-19
- Check your freezer and discard any recalled packages
- Return recalled products to the store where you bought them
- Cook all ground beef to 160°F internal temperature
- Seek medical care if you develop diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or fever within 72 hours of eating the product
