King Meat Services, Inc. in California recalled approximately 50,991 pounds of beef products produced between November 1 and December 5, 2016 due to misbranding. The company illegally replaced the original supplier's inspection seal with its own inspection seal without proper authorization. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for vacuum-sealed beef boxes with product codes 991012, 991027, 991028, 991031, 991164, 991166, 991170, 991171, 991176, 991181, 991182, 991183, 991184, or 991187
  • Look for establishment number 'Est. 426' on the USDA inspection seal
  • Do not eat the product if you have it; discard it or return it to where you bought it
